REGISTRATION UPDATES

4/26/2025: 2 WEEKS TIL DISCO!

We’re just 2 weeks out, so now would be a good time to make any necessary changes to your registration (anything from changing your team name to swapping a teammate).  Please don’t wait until the last minute to do this!  Also, keep in mind that full refunds are available until May 3 at 10:00am.  Please let us know ASAP if you do need to cancel so that we can fill your spot from the ever-growing waiting list.

3/20/2025: ADDITIONAL SPOTS ADDED for the SOLO AND TEAM CATEGORIES!

Great news!  We were able to increase the racer cap for the Solo and Team events.  These open spots will be filled from the waiting list over the next couple of days.  If you are still interested in racing, but have not registered yet, get on the waiting list!

3/19/2025: KIDS RACE and HOT LAP are now FREE!

Because of the tremendous response to registration for the 9.5 Hours of Disco, we have decided to make the Kids Race and Hot Lap events FREE!  However, we would not say “no” to a small donation to help cover basic race costs if you would like to pitch in.  Anybody previously registered for these events has been refunded and remains on the registration list.  Must register to participate.

3/1/2025 6:18pm: WAIT LISTS ARE NOW OPEN for the TEAM CATEGORIES

We’re super stoked to see so many registrations on Day 1 of registration!  The TEAM Categories are now full as of 6:18pm, but don’t fret.  GET ON THE WAIT LIST, because things are likely to change as the dust settles and we adjust our category caps.  Also, there’s still room in the solo categories (hint, hint).

2/2/2025: REGISTRATION WILL OPEN MARCH 1, at 8:00AM.

REGISTRATION NOTES

  • 2-person and 3-person teams are separated out in the registration for pricing purposes only, but will be combined in the race (ie, the team categories consist of either 2 or 3 riders).  Team categories will be Team-Men, Team-Women, and Team-Mixed.
  • This year, registration for the team categories will be by Team.  A team captain will register and pay the entry fee for the entire team.  The Team Captain can then either enter participant info for team members, or set up an invitation for them to log in and enter their own info.
  • We expect that this race will sell out quickly, so gather up your teammates, come up with an awesome name, and get registered.  Registration opens March 1 at 8:00am.
  • While refunds are available through May 3 (see Refund Policy for details), registration for this race allows for maximum flexibility up until May 8 at 5pm.  Until that date, participants may change categories if space is available, and transfers to another participant are allowed.
  • Event waivers will be filled out the old fashioned way, with pen and paper when you check in at the venue.

WAITING LISTS

  • Waiting lists will be available for each category.  
  • Registration for waiting lists closes on May 8 at 5pm.
  • If a space becomes available in a category prior to May 3 at 10:00am, the Race Director will automatically add the next person/team on the waiting to that category, and the participant will receive a confirmation.
  • If a space becomes available in a category after May 3 at 10:00am, the Race Director will contact the next person/team on the waiting list for approval before adding them to that category.  If no response is received within 12 hours, the Race Director will move to the next person/team on the waiting list.  Participants on the waiting list can be moved into an available category all the way up until race time (May 10 at 10:00am).

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

SIMBA will refund registration fees if the event is fully cancelled because of factors outside of our control, including but not limited to excessive rainfall, public land closure, pandemic, or national emergency.  If event cancellation occurs, registrants will also have the option to donate their registration fees to SIMBA.  Refunds will be issued for any cancellation prior to 10:00am on May 3, 2025.  No refunds will be issued for cancellations after 10:00am on May 3, 2025.  Processing fees will not be refunded.  Category changes and registration transfers will be allowed, but no refunds will be given if changing to a category with a lesser fee.  No refunds will be given for partial event cancellation or modification (for example, if rain cancels the event part way through, or if wet trails require a delayed start).

VOLUNTEER TO HELP

Not racing but want to help out?  We are in need of volunteers to help at the timing table during the race for 2-hour time slots, to help run the Kids Race, and to man the mid-course aid station.  This is a great opportunity to relax and cheer on your favorite mountain bikers.  Submit the form below if you’re interested, and we will contact you to confirm and assign a time slot.  Each Volunteer will get a COOL PRIZE!!

Timing table tasks - record numbers and times as racers finish laps, and tell them that they are really fast (need 3 volunteers per slot).
Kids Race tasks - help direct kids so they stay on the course, manage the mayhem, hand out prizes, and tell them that they are really fast (need at least 5 volunteers).
Aid/Stoke Station - looking for small groups that have a lot of energy and want to make noise for racers coming through, and hand out water and snacks.
