REGISTRATION UPDATES

1/1/2026: REGISTRATION OPENS FEBRUARY 28

Registration for the 2026 Nine-and-a-Half Hours of Disco will open on Saturday, February 28, at 8:00am.  Click the link above to open the registration page on Bikereg.com.

REGISTRATION NOTES

  • Registration opens February 28 at 8:00am.  This race may sell out, so gather up your teammates, come up with an awesome name, and get registered.
  • New for 2026: this year there will be separate categories for 2-person and 3-person teams.  More categories, more prizes!
  • Registration for the team categories will be by Team.  A team captain will register and pay the entry fee for the entire team.  The Team Captain can then either enter participant info for team members, or set up an invitation for them to log in and enter their own info.
  • Event waivers will be completed online this year.

WAITING LISTS

  • Waiting lists will be available.  A participant can register for the waiting list under a specific category, but waiting lists will be combined by category group for awarding available spots (ie., one waiting list for all solo categories, and one waiting list for all team categories).
  • Registration for waiting lists closes on April 23 at 5pm.
  • If a space becomes available in a category group prior to April 18 at 10:00am, the Race Director will automatically add the next person/team on the waiting list to the requested category, and the participant will receive a confirmation.
  • If a space becomes available in a category group after April 18 at 10:00am, the Race Director will contact the next person/team on the waiting list for approval before adding them to the requested category.  If no response is received within 12 hours, the Race Director will move to the next person/team on the waiting list.  If space is available, a participant on the waiting list can be awarded a spot all the way up until race time (April 25 at 10:00am).

REGISTRATION CHANGES

Registration for this race allows for maximum flexibility up until April 23 at 5pm.  Until that date, participants may change categories if space is available, and transfers to another participant are allowed.  Changes can be made in bikereg.com, but feel free to contact us for more complicated change requests, and we will help you out.

PLEASE!  No last minute changes!  We understand that things do happen during the last minute, and we will do our best to accommodate you if you do need to make a last minute change, but we offer no guarantees!

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

Participant cancellation: Refunds will be issued for any cancellation prior to 10:00am on April 18, 2025. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after 10:00am on April 18, 2025. Processing fees will not be refunded. Category changes and registration transfers will be allowed, but no refunds will be given if changing to a category with a lesser fee.

Event cancellation: SIMBA will refund registration fees if the event is fully cancelled because of factors outside of our control, including but not limited to excessive rainfall, public land closure, pandemic, or national emergency.  Processing fees will not be refunded. If event cancellation occurs, registrants will also have the option to donate their registration fees to SIMBA.  No refunds will be given for partial event cancellation or modification (for example, if rain cancels the event part way through, or if wet trails require a delayed start).

VOLUNTEER TO HELP

Not racing but want to help out?  We are in need of volunteers to help at the timing table during the race for 2-hour time slots and to help run the Kids Race.  This is a great opportunity to relax and cheer on your favorite mountain bikers.  Submit the form below if you’re interested, and we will contact you to confirm and assign a time slot.  Each Volunteer will get a COOL PRIZE!!

Timing table tasks - record numbers and times as racers finish laps, and tell them that they are really fast (need 3 volunteers per slot).
Kids Race tasks - help direct kids so they stay on the course, manage the mayhem, hand out prizes, and tell them that they are really fast (need at least 5 volunteers).
